Armed Robbery Reported at Microtel Inn and Suites in Teller County, Colorado

The incident involved a male suspect who entered the hotel wearing a ski mask and an Amazon jacket, brandishing a firearm. The suspect successfully fled the scene, absconding with an undisclosed amount of cash. Local authorities immediately launched an investigation to bring the criminal to justice.

Suspect Identified and Pursued

Following diligent investigative efforts, law enforcement agencies managed to identify the suspect as 38-year-old Kyle Jamison. On Monday, January 8, a breakthrough occurred when Jamison was spotted at a casino in Cripple Creek, a town located in close proximity to Teller County. Capitalizing on the lead, the Cripple Creek Police Department and Colorado Division of Gaming agents initiated contact with Jamison’s vehicle as it exited the casino parking garage. However, the situation quickly escalated when Jamison rammed the law enforcement units from both departments in an attempt to evade capture. Intensive Manhunt in Challenging Terrain

Subsequent to the confrontation at the casino, Jamison managed to evade immediate capture. However, the Teller County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) revealed that they located Jamison’s abandoned vehicle later in the day, north of Cripple Creek, near Highway 67. A determined effort ensued as TCSO personnel embarked on an arduous manhunt, tracking Jamison for several miles through treacherous terrain and deep snow. The relentless pursuit ultimately led to Jamison’s arrest just after 5 p.m., with law enforcement successfully apprehending him. Due to the harsh weather conditions, Jamison required medical attention for hypothermia and was swiftly transported to the Pikes Peak Regional Hospital for treatment.
