Woman killed in Tornado near Cottonwood Identified as 81-Year-Old Charlotte Paschal

DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) – The recent devastating tornado that swept through Cottonwood, Alabama, claimed the life of an elderly woman who has now been identified as 81-year-old Charlotte Paschal.

Houston County Coroner, Robert Byrd, stated that Paschal tragically lost her life when her mobile home was struck by the powerful twister. The force of the tornado caused her residence to roll over three or four times. Byrd believes that Paschal had sought shelter in her bathroom in an attempt to protect herself from the destructive force of the storm.
