Accident – Death – Obituary News : NEW AT NOON: Suspected Serial Burglar Arrested in Spartanburg County

Spartanburg County, South Carolina – In a major breakthrough, law enforcement officials have apprehended a man believed to be a serial burglar responsible for a string of burglaries across Spartanburg County. Adam Moore, a 34-year-old resident of Boiling Springs, has been charged with 23 counts of burglary. The incidents occurred in various locations, including Boiling Springs, Inman, and Westview. Authorities credit the success of the operation to surveillance video footage that helped track down the suspect. Last week, deputies searched Moore’s motel room and discovered stolen items linked to several burglarized properties.

The investigation into these burglaries has been extensive, with Lt. Kevin Bobo of the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office confirming the compelling evidence against Moore. The evidence includes security camera footage, which strongly supports the belief that Moore was behind this crime spree. During the search of Moore’s motel room, property crimes investigators recovered stolen items from multiple burglaries, as well as clothing that Moore allegedly wore during the commission of these crimes.

Aside from the 23 counts of burglary, Moore also faces two counts of attempted burglary, four counts of safecracking, 11 counts of larceny, and two counts of malicious injury to a place of worship. It is possible that more charges will be filed against him. Shockingly, Moore was already out on bond for previous burglaries that he was charged with by the Spartanburg Police Department in November.

Moore appeared before a magistrate who denied him bond, and he is currently being held at the Spartanburg County Detention Center. Officials are urging anyone with information about Moore’s criminal activities to contact Sgt. Mike Mironenko at mmironenko@spartanburgcounty.org or call 864-503-4599.
