Siaya man dies by suspected suicide after argument with wife

Police in Bondo sub-county are currently investigating the death of a 25-year-old man whose body was discovered at a residential area within Usenge town yesterday evening. The deceased, identified as Pius Onyango Ouma, was found hanging on a fencing pole within the premises of the residential property. It is suspected that he took his own life following an argument with his wife.

The landlady of the residential property, Jennifer Maureen Aringo, reported the incident to the Siaya County police. Officers from Usenge police station immediately visited the scene and confirmed that the deceased had engaged in a heated argument with his wife on Saturday night. Subsequently, he left the house and did not return.

Although no suicide note was found, Siaya County police Commander Cleti Kimaiyo believes that the evidence points to suicide. The body of Pius Onyango Ouma, which showed no visible physical injuries, has been transferred to the Bondo sub-county hospital mortuary to undergo an autopsy.
