Ahmir Jolliff, affectionately known as “Smiley” by his loved ones, was eagerly looking forward to returning to school after the holiday break. He had a passion for soccer and was a talented tuba player. Ahmir also enjoyed singing in the choir and was known for his kind-heartedness, as he kept a box of toys on his family’s front porch for the neighborhood children to enjoy.

Erica Jolliff, Ahmir’s mother, described him as an outgoing and well-loved individual. She expressed deep sorrow over the tragic loss of her son, stating, “He was so well-loved and he loved everyone.”
