Pune: New revelations have emerged in the investigation into the murder of Sharad Mohol, shedding light on the motive behind the crime. According to a senior police officer, Kangude orchestrated a plan to infiltrate Mohol’s gang by using his nephew Sahil alias Munna Santosh Polekar. On Friday afternoon, Polekar, along with two other accomplices, opened fire on Mohol while he was walking home from his office with his men.

Senior inspector Hemant Patil of Kothrud police stated that Kangude was subjected to harassment and abuse by Mohol over trivial matters, which eventually drove him to eliminate Mohol. The police are now conducting further investigations into the gangsters and their activities in Pune.

The victim, Sharad Mohol, aged 40, was shot dead by three men in Sutardara on Friday afternoon. The Pune crime branch swiftly took action and arrested six men and two lawyers in connection with the case. Alongside Polekar and Kangude, the arrested individuals include Amit alias Amar Maruti Kangude of Parvati, Chandrakant Shahu Shelke of Janata Vasahat, Vinayak Santosh Gavhankar of Paud, and Vitthal Kisan Gandhale of Sutardara.
