MONTREAL — The New York State Police have recently revealed the identity of the individual who tragically lost their life in a devastating tour bus accident in Lake George, N.Y., on Friday. The victim has been identified as Jeanne Elzanie Jourdan Colin, a 74-year-old Montreal resident.

According to authorities, one person remains in critical condition at an Albany, N.Y., hospital, as a result of the incident.

Reports indicate that the catastrophic crash occurred on U.S. Highway 87, when a bus operated by Skyway Coach Line, en route from Montreal to New York City, veered off the road. Regrettably, one person lost their life, and 11 others sustained injuries during the incident.

Authorities in New York have confirmed that the majority of the 23 individuals on board the ill-fated bus were Canadian, with at least two passengers hailing from Switzerland.

In response to the tragic event, Global Affairs Canada announced on Sunday that it is extending consular assistance to the grieving family of the 74-year-old victim.

The investigation into the crash is currently underway, with the New York State Police withholding information about the other victims at this time.
