New York State Police Identify Montreal Woman as Victim in Lake George Tour Bus Crash

MONTREAL — The New York State Police have officially identified Jeanne Elzanie Jourdan Colin, a 74-year-old resident of Montreal, as the tragic victim of a fatal tour bus crash in Lake George, N.Y., which occurred on Friday.

According to authorities, one individual remains in critical condition at an Albany, N.Y., hospital, while 11 others sustained injuries during the unfortunate incident. The Skyway Coach Line tour bus met with an accident on U.S. Highway 87 while en route from Montreal to New York City.

In a statement, New York officials disclosed that the majority of the 23 passengers onboard the ill-fated bus were Canadian nationals, with at least two individuals hailing from Switzerland.

Global Affairs Canada has announced that it is actively providing consular assistance to the bereaved family of the 74-year-old victim.

The investigation into the crash is still ongoing, and the police have refrained from releasing any further details about the other victims involved in the incident.
