Driver Arrested for Hitting Woman with Car in Dunklin County, Missouri

DUNKLIN COUNTY, Mo. (KFVS) – In a shocking incident that unfolded early Monday morning, January 8, a driver has been arrested after allegedly hitting a woman with a car. The unfortunate incident took place in Dunklin County, Missouri.
According to an online crash report filed by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 2:32 a.m. on Route J, west of Malden city limits. A 2019 Nissan Rogue, traveling eastbound, veered off the road and struck a pedestrian.
The pedestrian has been identified as 49-year-old Deborah C. Moore, a resident of Malden. The impact of the collision left her severely injured.
Following the incident, the highway patrol swiftly apprehended the driver of the Nissan Rogue. Identified as 18-year-old Rylan D. Trout, a resident of Malden, he now faces serious charges.

The charges brought against Trout include felony driving while intoxicated – drugs – resulting in the death of another, felony leaving the scene of an accident, and driving while suspended. After his arrest, Trout was promptly taken into custody and transported to the Dunklin County Sheriff’s Office.
