Victim Identified in Capitol View Shooting

The Little Rock Police Department has officially identified the victim of a tragic shooting incident that occurred in the Capitol View area of the city. Christopher Hurvey, a resident of Little Rock, lost his life in the incident on Friday morning.

The shooting took place around 11 a.m. on West 11th Street, according to a detailed news release issued by the Police Department. Following a call reporting a man bleeding from his chest area, patrol officers from the 12th Street Division swiftly responded to the scene at 3312 W. 11th St.

Upon arrival, the officers were able to establish contact with the wounded individual, later identified as Christopher Hurvey. Recognizing the severity of his condition, paramedics immediately initiated life-saving procedures at the scene before transporting Hurvey to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, despite their efforts, Hurvey succumbed to his injuries and passed away, as stated in the official police report.

An in-depth investigation was promptly launched by law enforcement officials to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting. During the course of their inquiry, investigators discovered a blood trail leading from Hurvey’s body to the porch of 3113 W. 11th St, indicating that he had suffered a gunshot wound.

Nevertheless, they did uncover a spent shell casing on the porch, which will be subjected to forensic analysis as part of the ongoing investigation.
