New Delhi Woman Found Dead in Mysterious Circumstances, Husband Suspected

New Delhi, January 8: A 35-year-old woman, identified as Rekha Roy, was discovered dead in her house in south Delhi under mysterious circumstances. The police suspect her missing husband, Bishavnath Roy, to be behind her killing.

The incident came to light when a police control room (PCR) call was received at Vasant Kunj North police station around 8:10 a.m. The caller reported an unconscious woman in her room at Masoodpur area. Upon reaching the spot, the police team found that the room was locked from the inside. They discovered Rekha Roy in an unconscious state with no visible external injuries.

Further investigation revealed that Rekha and her husband had been residing at the address as tenants for the past month. Bishavnath Roy had recently started working at a petrol pump in the B-7 area. The couple has two children who are currently in their native village.

Prior to the discovery of Rekha’s body, a heated argument had taken place between the husband and wife. Bishavnath Roy is now at large, and his mobile phone is switched off. The forensic science laboratory and crime teams have inspected the scene, and legal action is being taken to apprehend the accused.

This shocking incident adds to the growing list of crimes against women in Delhi. Just recently, another incident of violence against a woman occurred in Dwarka, where a man attempted to strangle a woman on the street before fleeing with her bag and mobile phone. Additionally, a distressing case emerged from Sadar Bazaar, where a woman lured a 12-year-old girl, leading to her rape by a tea vendor and three minors.

The authorities are making every effort to address the rising crime rates against women in the city and ensure that justice is served. It is crucial that the society as a whole takes a stand against such heinous acts and works towards creating a safe environment for everyone.
