Dartmouth Car Accident Claims Life of 18-Year-Old Man and Leaves Woman with Life-Threatening Injuries

DARTMOUTH, United Kingdom – In a tragic incident late Friday night, an 18-year-old man lost his life, and a 44-year-old woman sustained life-threatening injuries in a single-vehicle accident. The Dartmouth Police and emergency responders swiftly rushed to the intersection of Gulf Road and Smith Neck Road, following distressing reports of a car crash with ejections.

Upon their arrival at approximately 10:35 p.m., authorities discovered an unconscious male and female lying on the roadway adjacent to a severely damaged 2022 Honda Accord. Promptly, the emergency personnel began providing immediate medical assistance to both individuals before transporting them to the renowned St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford.

Tragically, Jacob Pothier, a young resident of New Bedford, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital. Meanwhile, Kathleen Martins, a Dartmouth local, remains in guarded condition, fighting for her life.
