The victim suffered from approximately four lacerations on his back, side, and left arm, indicating a brutal attack.

According to the report, the victim stated that he informed his wife, identified as 45-year-old Toni Strickland, about his decision to seek a divorce. This revelation led to a heated verbal altercation between the couple. In an attempt to distance himself from his wife, the man had sought refuge in a spare bedroom, gathering his belongings.

However, as the victim tried to leave the house and reached the front door, he suddenly felt weak and dizzy. It was at that moment he noticed blood on his body. Struggling to maintain consciousness, he sought help from a neighbor’s house, where he ultimately collapsed.

During the investigation, when the police spoke to Toni Strickland, she claimed that she had grabbed a knife to defend herself but denied stabbing her husband.

Law enforcement officers discovered a large butcher-style knife in the kitchen, which had traces of blood on it, adding weight to the victim’s claims.

Consequently, Toni Strickland, aged 45, was taken into custody and placed under arrest. She now faces charges of aggravated domestic battery and has been transported to the Brevard County jail.
