According to the Indiana State Police, a trooper was patrolling Interstate 69 near the 241-mile marker at approximately 5:00 p.m. on Saturday when she noticed a blue Chevrolet Cruz with an equipment violation. As the fleeing vehicle approached the 151-mile marker, the driver spotted the second trooper’s police vehicle ahead and decided to pull over, surrendering to the authorities.

After the vehicle came to a stop, the troopers conducted a traffic stop and took the driver, identified as 25-year-old Zachariah Avery Malek Randolph of Marion, Indiana, into custody without any further incident.

Randolph now faces several charges, including Resisting Law Enforcement with a Vehicle, a Level 6 Felony. Additionally, he has been charged with Dealing of Marijuana, a Class A Misdemeanor, as well as Resisting Law Enforcement and Driving While Suspended (Prior), both Class A Misdemeanors.
