Police Identify 45-Year-Old Man Fatally Shot in New Haven Residence
Authorities have disclosed the identity of the individual who tragically lost their life due to a fatal shooting incident in a New Haven residence on Friday afternoon.

At approximately 1:54 p.m. on Friday, the New Haven Police Department received a distressing report regarding a gunshot victim at a residential property situated on Carmel Street, located between Whalley Avenue and Percival Street in New Haven, as stated by the New Haven Police Department.
Upon arrival, law enforcement officers discovered Gregory Perez, a 45-year-old male, who had sustained a single gunshot wound. The officers promptly administered essential medical assistance while awaiting the arrival of emergency personnel from the New Haven Fire Department and American Medical Response.
Despite their best efforts, the emergency responders were unable to revive Perez, and unfortunately, he was pronounced deceased at the scene by fire personnel, according to the police.
