Four killed in Tragic Road Accident on Bengaluru-Mumbai National Highway

At least four individuals lost their lives in a devastating road accident that involved two cars and a truck on the Bengaluru-Mumbai National Highway in Kundgol, located in the Dharwad district. The incident occurred on Saturday, leaving the community in shock and mourning.

The victims have been identified as Manikantha, aged 26, Pavana, aged 23, and Chandana, aged 31, all residents of Hassan, as well as Prabhu, aged 34, from Bengaluru.

Additionally, four other individuals sustained serious injuries and were promptly rushed to KIMS Hospital in Hubballi city for immediate medical attention.

According to the available information, one of the cars involved was en route to Goa from Hassan, while the other vehicle was heading towards Shirdi from Bengaluru.

As news of the tragic accident spread, Dharwad SP Gopala Byakod immediately rushed to the accident site to oversee the investigation and provide necessary support. Furthermore, State Labour and District in-charge Minister Dharwad Santhosh Lad visited the injured victims at KIMS hospital to offer his condolences and ensure they receive the best possible care.

“After the collision of cars, the truck unfortunately hit those standing on the roadside, resulting in their tragic deaths. The authorities have taken the truck driver into custody, and investigations are underway to determine the exact cause of this devastating accident,” said Minister Lad, expressing his concerns and condolences.

Two Women killed in Head-on Collision of KSRTC Buses

In another unfortunate incident, two women lost their lives, and more than ten individuals sustained severe injuries in a head-on collision between two Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) buses near Vijayapura city. The incident occurred at Madanabhavi Cross on Saturday, leaving the community in shock and sorrow.

The two deceased victims have been identified as Sajeeda Begum Makandar and 31-year-old Rohini Panchala.

Altercation with Police Officer Leads to Unfortunate Consequences

A 22-year-old student found himself in a distressing situation after getting into a clash with a police officer near the Goraguntepalya traffic signal on Wednesday.

The police officer, who was on her way to the BBMP office in her government vehicle, was involved in an unfortunate collision with the student named Abhishek, who was riding a bike and lost control of his vehicle.

The tension escalated, prompting the police officer, with the assistance of traffic police personnel, to apprehend Abhishek and take him to the RMC Yard police station. The Superintendent of Police (SP) filed a complaint against Abhishek, accusing him of obstructing a police official from performing their duties.
