Erode, UK: In a devastating incident near Gobichettipalayam, Erode, a 19-year-old engineering student lost her life after her scooter was hit by a bus belonging to her college. The incident occurred on Saturday morning, sending shockwaves through the local community. The deceased has been identified as R Swarna, a resident of Eswaran Kovil Street in Gobichettipalayam.

The local authorities have taken swift action and apprehended the bus driver responsible for the accident. The police are currently investigating the case to determine the exact cause and circumstances leading to the tragic event.

“Swarna’s father, Ravi Subramaniam, is employed in a prominent knitwear export company in Tirupur. Swarna was his only daughter,” revealed the police officials. “She was a second-year BE Computer Science and Engineering student at a reputable private engineering college located in Othakuthirai, near Gobichettipalayam.”

On that fateful morning, Swarna left her residence on her electric scooter to attend her classes. Tragically, the accident took place near Vellalapalayam Junction, where one of the two buses owned by the same college collided with her bike. Witnesses claim that both buses were excessively speeding, with one attempting to overtake the other.

As a result of the collision, Swarna was forcibly thrown off her scooter, sustaining severe head injuries that proved fatal. The local authorities promptly dispatched Swarna’s body to the Gobichettipalayam Government Hospital for a thorough autopsy.

“The Gobichettipalayam police have registered a case and arrested the bus driver, identified as S Sriram, a 23-year-old resident of Kadambur in Sathyamangalam, Erode,” stated a police officer familiar with the investigation. “Further investigations are currently underway to ascertain the complete sequence of events leading up to the accident.”

This unfortunate incident serves as a stark reminder of the need for road safety and responsible driving. Swarna’s untimely demise has left her family, friends, and the local community grief-stricken.
