Heartbreaking news emerged from St. Paul as the number of children who tragically lost their lives in a devastating house fire rose to three, according to family members who spoke on Saturday.
Pa Cheng Vang, the children’s father, expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming support shown by the community since the fire broke out in the early hours of Wednesday. Vang was at work at the time of the incident.
The victims have been identified as 5-year-old twin girls, Sivntxhi Vang and Ntshiab Si Vang, along with a 4-year-old boy named Manj Those Nutj Vang. Sivntxhi tragically passed away on Wednesday, while the family announced the deaths of the other two children on Saturday.
In addition to the loss of their children, a 1-year-old and their 28-year-old mother remain in critical condition and are receiving treatment in hospital. However, there is some positive news as the conditions of two other hospitalized children have shown signs of improvement.

During the news conference, the grieving father urged every family to practice fire drills at home, especially during nighttime hours. He emphasized the importance of fire safety and expressed his desire to prevent other families and the community from experiencing the same tragedy.
