Three Arrested in Connection with Mississauga Shooting

Authorities have apprehended three individuals in relation to a shooting incident that occurred in Mississauga last November, leaving one man injured. Peel Regional Police announced the arrests on Friday, providing an update on their ongoing investigation into the incident that took place in the vicinity of Matheson Boulevard and Creekbank Road.

Altercation Leads to Shooting

According to police reports, the incident unfolded during an altercation, resulting in a man being shot multiple times. Prompt medical attention was provided, and the victim was swiftly transported to a trauma centre. Currently, he is reported to be in stable condition, showing signs of progress in his recovery.

Project Poseidon Launched

Following the shooting, law enforcement launched Project Poseidon, a comprehensive operation aimed at identifying and locating all individuals involved in the incident. This initiative was put into motion to ensure public safety and bring those responsible to justice.

Multiple Arrests and Seizures

On Friday, investigators executed search warrants across the Greater Toronto Area, leading to the apprehension of three suspects in connection with the shooting. Furthermore, during the search, law enforcement seized three firearms, underscoring the seriousness of the case. Notably, a significant quantity of illicit drugs was also discovered and confiscated, further highlighting the scope of criminal activity involved.

Identifying the Suspects

The suspects have been identified as 34-year-old Angelo Reid, hailing from Oshawa, and 27-year-old Ralphord Shaw and 35-year-old Anthony Jones, both residents of Whitby. Reid and Jones are facing charges of attempted murder, while the 34-year-old Reid and Shaw are also facing multiple firearm-related charges.
