Telangana Man Arrested for Allegedly Murdering Woman in Car Accident
Telangana police apprehended a 38-year-old man, U Narender, on Friday for his alleged involvement in the tragic death of a woman during a wedding procession. The incident took place in Medak district, Telangana, when Narender recklessly drove his car into the procession, resulting in the unfortunate demise of a 21-year-old woman named Ramya. Alongside Ramya, four other individuals sustained injuries from the incident.

Authorities suspect that the accident was not a mere coincidence but rather a consequence of an ongoing property dispute between the accused, U Narender, and his relative, U Swamy. The police have registered a case under Sections 302 (Punishment for murder), 307 (Punishment for attempt to murder), and 279 (Trespassing on wedding or burial places) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) in connection with the incident.
In a separate incident that occurred in Mahabubnagar district, tragedy struck as six individuals, including a child, lost their lives, while two others suffered injuries. The unfortunate incident involved a lorry colliding with an autorickshaw and a motorbike. The aftermath of the accident witnessed protests erupting in the area, with locals setting the lorry ablaze. Consequently, National Highway 44, where the accident took place, experienced significant traffic congestion.
