The individual suspected of these actions is Dane A. Bieniek, a 29-year-old person currently on parole for a previous felony charge of Vehicle Operator Fleeing or Eluding Officer. This suspect posed a significant challenge for the officers involved in the pursuit.
Upon receiving the initial report, officers promptly located Bieniek’s vehicle and attempted to initiate a traffic stop. Instead of complying with the officers’ instructions, the suspect chose to evade them, triggering a dangerous chase through the Wisconsin Rapids area. Despite the inherent risks associated with high-speed pursuits, the officers persisted in their pursuit, determined to apprehend the armed motorist.
The pursuit came to an end when the suspect’s vehicle became disabled, resulting in a crash into a residential property. The impact forced Bieniek to exit the vehicle and make a desperate attempt to escape on foot. However, the determined officers quickly closed in, leading to a brief but intense foot chase.
In the end, law enforcement successfully detained Bieniek, ensuring the safety of the community. A subsequent search revealed the recovery of a firearm, further emphasizing the seriousness of the situation. It was discovered that Bieniek, who was already on parole for a felony related to eluding officers, now faces a range of serious charges.
Dane A. Bieniek has been booked into the Wood County Jail with the following charges:
