Murder Suspect killed in Alleged Encounter with Police in Sargodha

SARGODHA: In a recent incident near Halalpur in Sargodha district, a murder suspect met his demise during an alleged encounter with the police. Unfortunately, his accomplice managed to escape, leaving authorities in pursuit.

The Midh Ranjha police reported that they attempted to stop two men on a motorcycle near Halalpur. However, instead of complying with the signal, the motorcyclists resorted to opening fire on the police and swiftly entered nearby fields. Undeterred, they continued firing while maneuvering through the fields.

In self-defense, the police retaliated and returned fire, resulting in the death of one of the suspects. The deceased suspect has been identified as Saleem Ranjha from Bhabra town, who allegedly had involvement in a murder case. Unfortunately, the identity of the suspect’s accomplice remains unknown, as he managed to evade capture.

The Midh Ranjha police are currently on the hunt for the fleeing suspect, while the body of Saleem Ranjha has been transported to the hospital for autopsy.

Armed Clash Claims Lives of Two Youths in Deily Namdar

SARGODHA: In another unfortunate incident, two young individuals lost their lives in an armed clash that erupted over a minor dispute in Deily Namdar area.

As per the Kalurkot police, an exchange of heated words over a trivial matter escalated into an armed clash between two groups, resulting in the fatal shooting of two unnamed youths.

The deceased bodies have been transferred to the hospital for a thorough postmortem examination, while the police are actively engaged in investigating this double homicide.
