A woman from Cumming, Georgia, has been sentenced to 14 years in prison for causing a fatal crash near Marengo. The incident occurred on September 29, 2021, at the intersection of Route 23 and Coral Road.

Miranda A. Johnson, 28, was charged with multiple offenses, including aggravated driving under the influence causing a fatal crash, reckless homicide, and aggravated reckless driving causing bodily harm. She was also cited for speeding, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and disregarding a traffic control device.

The tragic collision involved two vehicles, a 2011 Chevrolet Camaro traveling northbound on Route 23 and a 2012 Honda.
