Rocky Mountain House RCMP: Fatal Clearwater County Collision Caused by Poor Road Conditions

Poor road conditions near Condor on Friday are believed to have played a significant role in the tragic death of a 17-year-old resident of Clearwater County. Upon reaching the scene, investigators discovered a lifeless body inside one of the vehicles. The deceased has been identified as a 17-year-old resident of Clearwater County, according to a press release issued by the police on Friday night.

Three other vehicles were also damaged in the incident, one of which was a semi-truck. Fortunately, the occupants of these vehicles reportedly suffered only minor injuries.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the fatal collision occurred when the deceased driver collided with an oncoming semi-truck. As a result of the impact, two other vehicles subsequently crashed into the semi-truck, which had lost control due to the icy roads and heavy fog.

Rocky Mountain House RCMP firmly believe that the combination of thick fog and icy road conditions significantly contributed to the collision. The hazardous weather situation impaired visibility and made driving conditions treacherous, ultimately leading to this tragic accident.
