Delhi Police Special Cell Arrests Sharpshooter of Lawrence Bishnoi Gang in Rohini

New Delhi, January 6 (ANI) – The Special Cell of Delhi Police has apprehended an active member and sharpshooter of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang from the Rohini area of the national capital.

The captured gangster, identified as Pradeep Singh, is an 18-year-old resident of Pauri Garhwal in Uttarakhand.

During the operation, the police recovered two semi-automatic pistols of .32 bore along with nine live cartridges from Singh’s possession.

According to the authorities, Singh was recruited by gangster Virender Partap, also known as Kala Rana, who contacted him through Instagram and further connected him with Bhanu Rana on the Signal App. Singh was then trained to carry out criminal activities in Delhi and the National Capital Region.

His primary task was to commit various criminal activities in the city.

Special Commisioner of Police (Special Cell), HGS Dhaliwal, received specific information about Singh’s movement in Sector 23, Rohini, and promptly initiated action to apprehend him.

A dedicated team from the Special Cell laid a trap in Sector 23, Rohini, leading to the successful arrest of Pradeep Singh. A criminal case has been registered against him under the relevant sections of the law.

Singh’s father operates a grocery shop in their native village, while Singh himself spent his early years in Bikaner, Rajasthan, under the care of relatives. He completed his education up to Grade 8 in Bikaner before returning to his hometown.

In 2022, Singh discontinued his studies and moved to Gurugram, Haryana, to live with a friend. During this time, he came across the Instagram profile of gangster Virender Pratap, also known as Kala Rana, and became inspired by his criminal activities.

In August 2023, Singh started following Kala Rana on Instagram and expressed his desire to join the gang for fame. Subsequently, in September 2023, he began communicating with Bhanu Rana through the Signal App as instructed by Kala Rana.

Police sources reveal that on December 30 of the same year, Bhanu Rana assigned Singh to commit a targeted crime in Delhi alongside other associates within the next 7-8 days. Singh was informed that additional gang members would meet him in Delhi, and the details of the target would be shared later.

On January 3, 2024, Singh arrived in Rohini to meet the other gang members and was apprehended by the police. (ANI)
