Calgary Police Identify Victim of Fatal Home Invasion in Brentwood

Calgary police have officially identified the victim of a tragic and fatal home invasion that occurred in the Brentwood area. The incident, which took place on Braden Crescent NW, has been classified as a homicide.

Upon receiving reports of the home invasion, officers promptly arrived at the scene on Thursday. They discovered two individuals with injuries and one deceased male.

An autopsy was conducted on January 5, revealing the victim’s identity as John Wayne Davis, a 53-year-old resident of Calgary. The police have not disclosed further details regarding the nature of his injuries.

At present, the two other individuals who were injured during the incident are receiving treatment at a local hospital. While their conditions are serious, they are considered stable.

This tragic event marks the first homicide case in Calgary for the year 2024. Authorities are diligently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident to ensure justice is served.
