FOREST PARK, Ga. – The Forest Park community is in mourning after a shooting spree on Friday claimed the life of Brandon Harris, a beloved member of the community.

Harris, 43, was the owner of a fleet of ice cream trucks in town and was known for his kind heart and willingness to help others. His tragic death has left his wife, Sheree Hill, devastated.

In an interview with Channel 2’s Justin Carter, Hill described Harris as not only her husband but also her best friend. The loss of Harris is deeply felt by the community.

According to Forest Park police, the shooting took place at the ATC Income Tax office on West Street. Harris was inside working when Victor Baymon, 33, arrived at the scene with a gun. Baymon had followed his ex-girlfriend to the location and shot two people. While the ex-girlfriend escaped unharmed, Harris tragically lost his life.

After the shooting, Baymon carjacked two individuals before randomly shooting another man who was working on his property on Old Jonesboro Road. The Forest Park community was left shocked and fearful following the series of deadly events.

Eddie Hall, a resident living a few doors down from where the shootings occurred, expressed his relief at not being present during the incident. Hall credits his installed surveillance cameras for providing a sense of security in the area.

Baymon was eventually apprehended by police in Powder Springs after a pursuit that ended with him crashing into a tree. He is currently in stable condition after sustaining critical injuries.
