Lake Mathews Station Deputies Arrest Suspect in Vehicle Burglaries

Incident Details:

On December 10, 2023, deputies from Lake Mathews Station swiftly responded to the Lake Hills area in Riverside County following a series of vehicle burglaries. These incidents involved unlawful entry into numerous vehicles, resulting in the theft of various valuable items. Recognizing the severity of the situation, the Lake Mathews Special Enforcement Team promptly took over the investigation.

The dedicated efforts of the deputies led to the identification of a suspect believed to be involved in these thefts. On Friday, January 5, 2024, law enforcement officials successfully located and apprehended the suspect, identified as Michael Salvati, a 67-year-old transient from Riverside County. Salvati was subsequently taken into custody and booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center, facing multiple charges related to theft. It is important to note that additional theft cases are currently under investigation, as authorities work diligently to ensure justice is served.
