Tragic Shooting Incident in Bhadwar Village Claims the Life of Santosh Kumar

Ara: In a shocking incident, Santosh Kumar, an 18-year-old boy, was allegedly shot and fatally wounded by one of his friends during a get-together in Bhadwar village, Bhojpur district. The victim, Santosh, succumbed to his injuries while being rushed to Patna Medical College Hospital.

The incident took place on Thursday night when Santosh was invited to a gathering by his friends. According to the police, a heated argument broke out between Santosh and one of his friends, leading to the friend shooting Santosh.

ASP-cum-Ara Sadar SDPO Chandra Prakash stated that the police were informed about the incident on Friday morning. Preliminary investigations revealed that Santosh was shot by one of his friends during the altercation in an orchard where they were chatting.

Santosh’s father, Dinesh Kumar, has lodged an FIR (First Information Report) in connection with the case. Five out of the seven accused have already been arrested, identified as Manish Kumar, Om Prakash Kumar alias Priyanshu, Nikhil Kumar, Sanjay Kumar alias Tillu, and Jaijanam Rai. The police have seized a country-made pistol and a live cartridge from the arrested individuals. Efforts are underway to apprehend the remaining two suspects.

This unfortunate incident has once again raised concerns about the rising cases of violence among friends and acquaintances. It serves as a reminder of the need for conflict resolution and peaceful communication to prevent such tragic outcomes.
