“York Regional Police Arrest 23-Year-Old Christian Marius Kamukuny of Brampton in Firearms Investigation”

Accident – Death – Obituary News : York Regional Police have apprehended and pressed charges against several individuals in connection with multiple firearm investigations in Vaughan, including an incident involving a man who violated a lifetime firearms ban and was found asleep at the wheel.

According to authorities, law enforcement officers responded to reports of an idle driver in the left turn lane at the intersection of Rutherford Road and Jane Street in the early hours of January 1st.

Allegedly, upon arrival, officers discovered a male driver who was unresponsive and asleep behind the steering wheel. When the man regained consciousness, he made an attempt to flee the scene, resulting in a collision with a police cruiser.

During a search of the driver, officers uncovered a loaded handgun concealed in the suspect’s waistband. Furthermore, an open bottle of alcohol was found on the passenger seat. Additionally, a quantity of suspected fentanyl, a potent synthetic opioid, was also discovered.

The suspect involved in this incident has now been identified as 23-year-old Christian Marius Kamukuny from Brampton. Kamukuny faces several charges related to firearms, including possession of a firearm or ammunition in violation of a prohibition order, impaired operation, and possession for the purpose of trafficking.

It is important to note that the accused was under a lifetime firearms prohibition at the time of his apprehension, further adding to the severity of the charges against him.

In another incident that took place on New Year’s Eve, authorities responded to a call at the intersection of Highway 7 West and Bowes Road, where officers were conducting a RIDE spot check.

During the spot check, officers encountered a black Nissan vehicle occupied by two men and one female passenger. The officers immediately detected a strong odor of cannabis emanating from the vehicle.

Upon further investigation, police discovered two large bags containing a significant quantity of cannabis, as well as smaller plastic bags also containing cannabis. Additionally, a scale and a black pouch containing a loaded handgun were found within the vehicle.

The firearm, which is suspected to be a 3-D-printed ghost gun, was fully loaded with ten rounds of ammunition. Moreover, several loose .22-caliber rounds were discovered in the bag.

As a result of this discovery, three individuals from Hamilton have been identified and charged with various firearm-related offences. The accused individuals include 20-year-old Phillisha Franklyn, 19-year-old Isaac Lambfal Solomon Scott, and 20-year-old Anferney Manuel Ventura Reyes.

By diligently conducting these investigations and making these arrests, York Regional Police have successfully taken several dangerous individuals off the streets.
