In a devastating incident that unfolded on the first day of classes after the Christmas holidays, a school shooting in Iowa has resulted in the tragic death of a young child. The victim, a sixth-grade student at Perry High School, located approximately 40 miles away from the state capital Des Moines, was just 11 or 12 years old, according to preliminary information.

The perpetrator behind this horrific act has been identified as Dylan Butler, a 17-year-old student attending the same school. The assailant turned the firearm on himself, resulting in his own death. However, the identity and specific details of the victim are yet to be disclosed.
