Funeral Services Announced for New Lebanon Crash Victim

NEW LEBANON — Funeral services have been announced for a young man tragically killed in a fatal car crash on New Year’s Day in Preble County, Ohio.

Remembering Nicholas Emerick

Nicholas Emerick, aged 20, from New Lebanon, was identified as the driver who lost his life in the accident on Preble County Line Road, as confirmed by the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP).

Emerick graduated from Dixie High School in 2021 and briefly attended Sinclair Community College before enlisting in the Marine Corps, according to his online obituary.

Funeral Arrangements

A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 7th, at First Baptist Church in New Lebanon from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., providing an opportunity for friends, family, and community members to pay their respects and offer support to the grieving family.

The funeral service will be conducted on Monday at the same church, where loved ones will gather to honor Nicholas and celebrate his life.

Following the funeral service, Interment with Military Honors will take place at Trissel Cemetery, highlighting Nicholas’ service in the Marine Corps.

Honoring Nicholas’ Legacy

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Wounded Warriors Project or the Dixie High School Athletic Boosters. This gesture will contribute to causes close to Nicholas’ heart and help support other individuals and organizations that he cared about deeply.
