The Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) has identified the deceased driver as Nicholas Emerick, a resident of New Lebanon. The crash took place on Preble County Line Road, leaving the community mourning the loss of a promising young individual.

Nicholas Emerick, who graduated from Dixie High School in 2021, had recently enrolled at Sinclair Community College before deciding to serve his country by joining the Marine Corps. His online obituary highlights his dedication and commitment to both education and his noble service in the military.
