Suspect in Fatal Shooting Incident in Princeton, West Virginia Identified
PRINCETON, W.Va. — West Virginia State Police have recently disclosed the identity of the perpetrator involved in a tragic shooting that resulted in the death of a woman in Princeton on Thursday evening.
According to the police report, Cory Callen, a 33-year-old resident of Bluefield, was arraigned in Mercer County on Friday after being apprehended in Fayette County. Callen now faces first-degree murder charges for assaulting and fatally shooting a woman shortly after 8 p.m. near the Lilly Grove community along Gardener Loop.
Authorities have identified the victim as Leona Edwards, who was found with multiple gunshot wounds upon exiting her vehicle.
Following the arraignment via video in the Mercer County Magistrate Court, Callen is currently being held without bond in the Central Regional Jail located in Braxton County.
