Antioch Resident Arrested for Possession of Fentanyl and Gun During Traffic Stop

(KRON) – The Pacifica Police Department has announced the arrest of an Antioch resident following a traffic stop in which the individual was found to be in possession of fentanyl and a firearm. The incident occurred on Thursday, and the arrest highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to combat drug-related offenses and illegal firearms possession.

At approximately 9 p.m. on December 29, a vigilant Pacifica police officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle due to several reported vehicle code violations. The driver, identified as 31-year-old Patrick Lefao from Antioch, was promptly apprehended.

Upon further investigation, it was revealed that Lefao had multiple outstanding arrest warrants and a suspended driver’s license. However, the discoveries did not end there. The officer discovered a loaded handgun with an extended magazine, as well as two grams of suspected fentanyl, within a backpack found in Lefao’s possession.

As a result of these findings, Lefao was immediately taken into custody and subsequently booked into the San Mateo County Jail. The charges brought against him include felon possessing a firearm, carrying an unregistered handgun, concealed firearm in a vehicle, felon possessing ammunition, possessing a controlled substance and loaded firearm, possessing a narcotic controlled substance, and driving with a suspended license. Additionally, Lefao had six outstanding arrest warrants.
