Two Men Face Multiple Charges in Violent Robbery Incident in Wayne County

In a shocking turn of events, two individuals have been apprehended and are now facing a multitude of charges following a harrowing incident that took place in Wayne County last week. This disturbing event involved the victim being held at knife-point, subjected to physical assault, and robbed of their belongings.

According to credible reports, the two culprits responsible for this heinous act have been identified as Austin Lee and Joshua Jones, both hailing from Monticello. These individuals have willingly surrendered themselves to the authorities on Tuesday, acknowledging the charges brought against them. The charges include robbery in the first degree, adult kidnapping, theft exceeding $500 but less than $10,000, criminal mischief in the first degree, terroristic threatening in the third degree, criminal trespassing in the third degree, engaging in organized crime, and assault in the first degree.

The distressed victim, in a statement given to Wayne County deputies, revealed that a female, accompanied by two males, forcibly entered their residence without any permission or consent. The female intruder has been identified as 29-year-old Candace Crabtree. Subsequently, both Crabtree and one of the male assailants proceeded to physically assault the victim and held them against their will for an agonizing duration of approximately two hours, as stated in the official report.

During the course of this brutal assault, the female perpetrator menacingly pressed a knife against the victim’s throat, repeatedly issuing terrifying verbal threats, including the promise of ending their life.
