California Woman Arrested for Drug and Stolen Property Charges in Storey County, Nevada

STOREY COUNTY, Nev. (KOLO) – A California woman has been taken into custody by the Storey County Sheriff’s Office after being charged with drug possession, possession of stolen property, and other alleged crimes on Wednesday.

The incident unfolded on January 3 when officers from the sheriff’s office responded to a stolen vehicle report generated by their license plate reader system. The stolen vehicle was identified as a white Chevy Silverado pickup adorned with U-Haul graphics.

Investigations revealed that the truck had been reported stolen from Sacramento, California. Later in the day, at approximately 1:30 p.m., deputies discovered the stolen vehicle on Six Mile Canyon Road. They immediately approached the suspect, identified as 30-year-old Kailey Odell.

Upon conducting a thorough search of the truck, law enforcement officials uncovered various illicit items. These included narcotics pills without a valid prescription, methamphetamine, heroin, drug paraphernalia, and a wallet containing personal identification details belonging to someone else.

Following the discovery, Kailey Odell was promptly arrested and taken into custody. She was subsequently booked into the Storey County Detention Facility where she faces multiple charges.
