Tragic Shooting: 10-Year-Old Boy Fatally Shot by Another 10-Year-Old in Sacramento County

The 10-year-old shooter, whose identity is being withheld due to legal reasons, discovered the gun in his father’s car and accidentally fired it, striking Frierson.

Following the incident, the young shooter’s father, 53-year-old Arkete Davis, and the boy himself were arrested on Sunday morning. Davis was accused of attempting to dispose of the weapon in a nearby trashcan. Investigations also revealed that the gun had been reported stolen back in 2017.

The young shooter has been charged with murder and has been taken into custody at the Sacramento County Youth Detention Center. Frierson’s grieving family disclosed that the shooter was a neighborhood friend, and the tragic incident occurred after a bike race.
