A Milwaukee man accused of being involved in two shootings, one of which was fatal, entered a plea of not guilty on Tuesday, January 2nd, to multiple felony charges.

27-year-old Quran Robey is facing charges of first-degree intentional homicide, along with other offenses. After entering his plea, he was ordered to stand trial.

According to the criminal complaint, law enforcement responded to reports of a shooting at a gas station at approximately 8:45 p.m. on November 18th. Upon arrival, officers discovered a victim with a gunshot wound to the leg. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention.

During the investigation at the scene, police found two 9mm bullet casings near the east side of the gas station, between the gas pumps and the building. Video footage from the gas station was retrieved and revealed the shooter entering the gas station with a firearm in hand. After leaving the building, the shooter approached the victim at the gas pumps and shot him unexpectedly.

After the shooting, the shooter helped the victim to his feet and appeared to embrace him before leaving the scene in a different vehicle than the one he arrived in. The shooter was described as wearing a distinctive black jacket with the word “Scarface” written on the back, according to the complaint.

When interviewed, the victim recalled the shooter, whom he had never encountered before, approaching him. The victim stated that the shooter seemed angry and upset, mentioning that he had lost his keys and had a difficult day with his girlfriend. The shooter apologized to the victim and pleaded with him not to die.

Investigators managed to obtain the license plate number of the vehicle at the gas station. The owner of the vehicle identified the shooter as “Quran Robey” when questioned by the police. Additionally, the victim positively identified Robey as the shooter when shown a photograph.

The 33rd and Hadley Shooting

Around 2 a.m. on November 19th, law enforcement responded to a reported shooting at an apartment near 33rd and Hadley. Inside the apartment, they discovered the lifeless body of Tynesha Crawford, who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Two 9mm bullet casings were found at the scene.

According to a witness in the apartment, Robey had been present with Crawford. Robey allegedly confessed to this witness that he had just shot someone and that Crawford had left him at the location of the shooting after an argument. The witness claimed to have heard approximately three gunshots during the altercation.

The complaint states that a child, in a 911 call, identified Robey as the individual responsible for the shooting.

Robey was apprehended at the Fairfield Inn & Suites near 13th and College in Oak Creek, where he was subsequently arrested. Upon his arrest, a 9mm firearm and a jacket with the word “Scarface” were discovered in the hotel room.

Robey’s Custody and Charges

During an interview with the police, Robey confessed to shooting the victim at the gas station, claiming that he had no reason to target him as they were strangers. Additionally, Robey admitted to getting into an argument with Crawford at her residence and shooting her twice when she attempted to call 911. The complaint indicates that Robey used the same firearm in both shootings.

Robey is facing several charges, including:

  • First-degree intentional homicide
  • Possession of a firearm by a felon (two counts)
  • First-degree reckless injury
  • Take and drive vehicle without owner’s consent (second offense)

Robey made his initial court appearance in Milwaukee County on November 25th, where a cash bond of $500,000 was set.
