Kansas City Woman Charged with Murder and Abandonment of a Man’s Body in Clay County

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office has revealed the identity of a man found lifeless at Rocky Hollow Park in Clay County, Missouri on Friday, December 22nd. The authorities have identified the deceased as Gildardo H. Carvaja, a 53-year-old resident of Gardner, Kansas.
According to Sarah Boyd, the spokesperson for the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, the lifeless body was discovered near a roadway at Rocky Hollow Park by an employee of Clay County Parks and Recreation around 8:15 a.m. The park is situated at 14812 Old Quarry Road in Excelsior Springs.
Elena Delcarmen Flores, a 48-year-old resident of Kansas City, has been charged with first-degree murder, armed criminal action, and abandonment of a corpse in connection with this incident, as confirmed by the sheriff’s office. However, authorities suspect that Flores may have fled to Mexico. To locate her, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office is collaborating with federal law enforcement agencies.
