Fatal Car Accident Claims Life of High School Student in North Massapequa, Long Island

NORTH MASSAPEQUA, Long Island (WABC) — A tragic car accident on Long Island has resulted in the untimely death of a high school student. The incident occurred on Tuesday morning on the Seaford Oyster Bay Expressway.

Authorities responded to the scene and discovered a 2019 BMW on its side, having veered off the roadway and crashed into the woods, ultimately colliding with a tree.

The driver of the vehicle, identified as 17-year-old Dylan Nuccio, was tragically killed in the accident. Nuccio was a senior at Plainedge High School, and his loss has deeply saddened the community.

Nassau County Police Medic arrived at the scene and pronounced the victim dead. The investigation into the incident is currently ongoing to determine the cause of the accident.

This devastating incident serves as a reminder of the importance of road safety and the need for cautious driving, especially for young drivers.
