Delhi Man Stabbed to Death in Bindapur over Financial Dispute: Police Arrest Accused

Delhi murder case news: In a tragic incident, a 33-year-old man named Neeraj was allegedly stabbed to death following a financial dispute in the Bindapur area of Dwarka sub-city in Delhi, according to the police. The incident took place on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday when Neeraj went to meet a person named Bobby to discuss the financial dispute.

A senior police officer stated, “A verbal spat erupted between Neeraj and Bobby on Monday night over an old financial issue. Accused Ajay, who happened to be passing by, intervened and asked them to stop fighting.”

Providing details about the incident, the police revealed that Neeraj died due to a stab wound during the monetary dispute. Neeraj reportedly asked Ajay to leave and threatened him with dire consequences.

The senior police officer added, “Ajay left the scene but returned later with a group of people to search for Neeraj. They found him alone, stabbed him multiple times, and fled. Neeraj was rushed to the hospital where he was declared dead. The police were immediately informed, and an FIR was registered. Ajay was apprehended by the police.”

Both Neeraj and Ajay were known to the Dwarka police as “bad characters” in the Bindapur area.

The police stated, “Deceased Neeraj was a listed ‘bad character’ (BC) in the Bindapur area and had gone to the house of a person named Bobby regarding a monetary dispute. An argument erupted between Bobby’s mother and Neeraj, during which Ajay, who lived nearby, also got involved and stabbed the victim.”

Upon receiving information about the incident, the police promptly reached the scene, arrested Ajay, and filed a case of murder against him at the Bindapur Police Station. The police are currently investigating the matter and are making efforts to apprehend the other individuals involved.

The accused, Ajay, is a history-sheeter with records of snatching, cheating, and robbery. He had been in Gujarat but returned to Delhi in November of last year (2023). The officer added that further investigation into the matter has been initiated.
