Police Respond to Threat Against Bristol Central High School in Hartford County

Hartford County, UK – Law enforcement authorities in Bristol, Hartford County, responded swiftly to a threat made against Bristol Central High School on Wednesday, Jan. 3. The suspect, a 14-year-old individual, was promptly identified and apprehended, according to Lt. Geoffrey Lund of the Bristol Police.

Assuring the public of their safety, officials stated, “Our officers made contact with the juvenile, and there is no ongoing threat to any of our schools.” As a precautionary measure, additional police patrols were deployed to ensure the safety of students and staff at all educational institutions in the area while the investigation took place, Lund added.

Following the incident, the juvenile suspect was charged with breach of peace and threatening. The individual is scheduled to be arraigned in Juvenile Court.
