Two People Killed in Late Night Crash in Gallatin on New Year’s Eve

GALLATIN, Tenn. (WZTV) —

Two individuals tragically lost their lives in a late-night vehicle crash that occurred in Gallatin on New Year’s Eve. The victims have been identified as Samantha Gant and Illyria Edwards, according to a report by the Gallatin Police Department.

Authorities were alerted to the incident on Highway 386, where they discovered two vehicles involved in a collision. Regrettably, both drivers were the sole occupants of their respective vehicles and succumbed to their injuries as a result of the crash.

The fatal accident involved a gray Chevy Equinox and a black Kia Soul and took place around midnight. Law enforcement promptly responded to the scene, located on inbound Highway 386 near mile marker 13.

An investigation into the circumstances leading up to the collision is currently underway, and further details are yet to be released.
