A young boy from Northeast Ohio has tragically lost his life in a devastating car crash that occurred on New Year’s Eve in Florida. The incident claimed two lives and left several others seriously injured.

Details of the Accident

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the fatal crash took place on State Road 20 in Calhoun County. The Sedan carrying five passengers, including the young boy, was traveling along the road when the driver failed to negotiate a curve, causing the vehicle to drift onto the shoulder. In an attempt to correct the course, the driver overcompensated, resulting in the car swerving back onto the road and ultimately flipping several times before coming to a stop in a ditch. The violent rollovers ejected all occupants except one.

The eight-year-old boy, Tyler Donathan, and a 56-year-old Ohio woman were tragically killed in the accident. Another 36-year-old Ohio woman and a 78-year-old Florida woman sustained serious injuries and are currently receiving treatment. Donna Kite, the sister of one of the injured victims, revealed that her brother, Keith, is in the Intensive Care Unit, suffering from a broken collarbone, fractures, and a brain bleed.
