Deadly Fire Claims Two Lives in Gunpo Apartment Building

GUNPO, South Korea, Jan. 2 (Yonhap) — Tragedy struck an apartment building in Gunpo, a city located just south of Seoul, on Tuesday morning as a fire broke out, resulting in the unfortunate demise of two residents, according to local fire authorities.

The devastating blaze originated on the ninth floor of the residential complex situated approximately 24 kilometers south of Seoul. The incident occurred at 7:15 a.m., engulfing the building in flames and causing widespread panic among the residents.
