Fayetteville Police Investigate First Homicide of 2024

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WTVD) — Fayetteville Police detectives have launched an investigation into the city’s inaugural homicide case of the year 2024.

The incident occurred shortly after 5:15 p.m. on Monday in the 1800 block of Harris Street, leaving the community in shock and distress.

Responding to a ShotSpotter notification, officers swiftly arrived at the scene to discover that a male victim had been shot. Tragically, the victim, identified as 36-year-old David Earl Page Jr., was found lifeless in a backyard and was declared dead at the scene.

In the wake of this devastating incident, Fayetteville Police have initiated an active investigation, leaving no stone unturned in their pursuit of justice. Detective S.
