Expatriate Dies from Bullet Injury While Celebrating New Year’s Eve in Kasur

KASUR: A tragic incident occurred on Sunday night in Rasheed Garden locality in Saddar police precincts, resulting in the untimely death of an expatriate who was celebrating New Year’s Eve. The deceased, Nauman, a 35-year-old expat from Saudi Arabia, sustained a fatal bullet injury during the festivities.

The incident has led to the lodging of a murder case against six suspects, who have been named in the first information report (FIR). Samina Akhtar, the mother of the victim and a resident of Mandi Usmanwala, filed the complaint. According to her, the suspects had invited Nauman to a party at Rasheed Garden in Kasur.

Tragedy struck at 3:50 am when Samina received a distressing phone call informing her about Nauman’s bullet injury. He was rushed to DHQ Hospital but succumbed to his injuries, leaving his family devastated. The grieving mother expressed shock upon learning about her son’s demise when she arrived at the hospital and found him in the morgue.

The Saddar police have taken swift action by registering a murder case against the suspects, namely Kashif, Ijaz, Husnain, Asad, Naeem, and Imran. Authorities have already apprehended Kashif and Ijaz, while efforts to arrest the remaining culprits are underway.

Body of Wanted Youth Recovered Near Private University in Mustafabad

In a separate incident, Mustafabad police made a grim discovery on Monday as they recovered the body of a young man near a private university along the Mustafabad canal. The deceased has been identified as Sajid from Kahna, who was wanted by the police in connection with a theft case. Following the recovery, Mustafabad police shifted the body to DHQ Hospital and initiated investigations based on the complaint filed by the victim’s mother.

Tragic Hit-and-Run Incident Claims Life of 12-Year-Old Boy

In yet another unfortunate incident, a 12-year-old boy named Muhammad Rehan lost his life in a hit-and-run accident near Sahjowal Phatak, falling under the jurisdiction of the Pattoki police station. The young boy was standing on the roadside near Sahjowal Railway level crossing when an unidentified vehicle struck him, instantly causing his demise. Authorities are currently investigating the matter in order to identify and apprehend the responsible party.

This heart-wrenching incident serves as a reminder to prioritize road safety and responsible driving to prevent such tragic accidents from occurring.
