ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A car chase led by the New York State Police came to a dramatic end with a collision at the intersection of Culver Road and Route 490, resulting in gun charges against one of the drivers involved.

The incident occurred around 2:45 p.m. when the NYSP attempted to stop a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee on Hudson Avenue in Rochester for traffic violations. The driver of the Jeep Cherokee has been identified as 27-year-old Dontayius Gordon from Rochester. Consequently, he has been charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, specifically a firearm. Gordon has been taken into custody and is awaiting arraignment at the Monroe County Jail.
