Police Investigate First Homicide of 2024 in Queens, New York
QUEENS, New York (WABC) — Police are currently conducting an investigation into a fatal stabbing incident that occurred in Queens on Monday. This incident is believed to be the first known homicide of 2024.

The stabbing took place at approximately 4 a.m. near the intersection of 76th Street and Roosevelt Avenue.
Upon arrival, responding officers discovered two victims. The first victim, a 30-year-old man, had sustained stab wounds to his chest and face. The second victim, identified as 29-year-old Tsering Wangdu, had been stabbed in the leg.
Emergency medical services rushed Wangdu to NYC Health + Hospitals Elmhurst, where he was sadly pronounced dead. The 30-year-old victim was also transported to the same hospital and remains in critical condition.
As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the incident, and the investigation is still ongoing.
